Well, truth be told, she just wanted to come and catch up with Salem. She needed some sort of an excuse to come and talk to the woman other than just...
talking to her. She may have seemed so flawless, but she was very awkward when it came to talking to people she had a proper, actual liking for. To someone who made her stomach break out into knots. She didn't need Salem to know, though. She was sure that the woman probably wanted nothing to do with her, after just leaving like that. Marian, for sure, completely understood if Salem wanted nothing to do with her.

Or maybe she did, crossing one leg over the other, grabbing the edge of her dress, and bending slightly at the waist, but subtly enough to be easily looked over. She adjusted her purse on her arm and looked down at Salem patiently, her blue eyes watching. Waiting. Part of her felt guilty for waking the poor mother, but she'd feel so awkward just standing around in the store until Salem came-to.
