I'D RATHER LAUGH WITH THE SINNERS THAN CRY WITH THE SAINTS ——

— & Tommy thought that he would go out and have some fun tonight. There was only so much to do in this godforsaken town, so he practically had no other choice but to head to the club. There was dim lighting, sweaty bodies, and shitty music blaring through the speakers, but hey — it was entertainment.

He rocked a leather jacket and dark jeans, and his brunette hair was combed to the side ( not a strand sticking out of place ). He looked like a discount Danny Zuko, though he'd claim that he was much cooler than him. At his side was Vervain, who had offered to accompany him this night. A lot of the Solars frequented the club, and she was no exception. She was cool, he supposed; she had a great taste in music and she was quirky in her own unique way. Nothing was wrong with it ( at least she wasn't drab and boring ).

The Italian-American strode along the sidewalk, the ( f l i c k e r i n g ) neon lights of the shops they passed beaming onto his jacket. The streets were pretty quiet at this hour; everyone was either in their homes or at the club. A few businesses were still open, but other than that, the town almost looked abandoned. Was Tommy intimidated by this? Hell no. He had grown up in an environment worse than this, with thugs looming left and right waiting behind every corner and danger lurking in each shadow.

With his hands shoved into his pockets, he glanced towards an upcoming turn into an alleyway. Quickly making a decision, Tommy said to Vervain, "This way. It's a shortcut." However, when he began to lead deeper into this "shortcut", he found that they weren't alone. Two figures were leaned against the brick wall, one against the streetlight. As if on cue, they all slowly lifted their glowing gazes to rest upon the Solars. It was obvious that these weren't just any randos hanging out in the street. Tommy could recall at least two of their faces ( and not in a good way ). "Oh, fuckin' great." Tommy muttered, his sharp visionaries locking onto the trio. "Trouble."
