About outdated guides in TNW

Heyo potatoes! Here’s an announcement regarding guides in any group with a board.

Basically, a board’s guide should be accurately updated about a week after a meeting. Obviously, if nothing has changed after a meeting, then you don’t have to update the guide. This mostly applies to new promotions, territory changes, rank changes, stuff like that.

The reasoning behind this new "rule" and announcement is due to the fact that guides can get pretty outdated in TNW. While it’s understandable, as updating a guide takes time, it’s also pretty bad for any newcomer who will be reading information that isn’t accurate to the group anymore. If there’s a new second-in-command, or any other person who plays an important role in the group, an outdated guide won’t show that. If there’s a new territory, an outdated guide will lead the newcomer to believe that the group is still in the old territory. So, please take this as a note for any current and upcoming leaders for the future!

Of course, this isn’t going to be a rule staff will enforce with the warning button, per say. For the most part, all staff will do is send a nudge to a leader to remind them about updating an outdated guide. So don’t worry, no one is going to get in trouble with this.

If y’all have any questions, feel free to send them below or PM a staffer! Other than that, have a good day!
man i'm really gonna miss you
